Tethered Hovering Surveillance Platform (TeHSuP)

The Problem

In some situations, an elevated surveillance solution is required in the field – surveillance sensors should be deployed promptly in an area where no permanent surveillance assets are available or where airborne surveillance is impractical.

Under these circumstances, the platform carrying the surveillance sensors should be set up at the appropriate height and remain in this position, with the sensors operating, for the longest possible period of time.

The carrying platform should be simple to deploy and operate, stable and functionally reliable.

The Solution

ACS presents TeHSuP – Tethered Hovering Surveillance Platform.

TeHSuP offers a cutting-edge alternative to a mast – a stable hovering platform, capable of carrying a surveillance payload weighing up to 20 kilograms at an altitude of up to 100 meters. The hovering platform is tethered to the ground or to the vehicle or naval vessel carrying it and uses electrical rotors powered from the ground.

TeHSuP can remain airborne as long as its electrical rotors are powered. A suitable power supply source on the ground will keep TeHSuP deployed and operating indefinitely.

TeHSuP offers a hovering surveillance option that may be deployed promptly to support irregular tactical situations in such applications as border protection, emergency deployment situations, coastal surveillance and special operations, as well as in such HLS and civilian applications as mass audience public events.

TeHSuP is fully automated and requires no technical or maintenance personnel for field deployment and operation.
